Picture Perfect

Photobucket

I'm so excited! We finally had professional portraits done after all these years. It's been over a decade (the last time was at our wedding)! We decided it was about time, and no use waiting for children. Adults don't change as much, but that's no reason not to capture the moment.

We did an outdoor shoot at a small farm in a historic town just up the road. Our first appointment several days previous was canceled 15 minutes before the meeting time because of rain. But our second try was pleasant and dry.

It was a lot of fun. Our photographer was very efficient and knew just what she wanted. I hope another ten years don't have to pass before we do this again!

  1. I LOVE these! What a great idea! I especially like the first one, and the last one...your expressions in that last one...too cute!!! Thanks for posting!

  2. I'm glad you like them! I think I look so funny in the last one; she told me to hug Jeff so I gave him a big squeeze to exaggerate! She snapped another one right after with my eyes opened, but Jeff likes this one, too.

I love that she caught so many natural expressions. Jeff usually has a very "forced" camera smile (his dad never smiled at all in pictures, so I'm grateful I get anything out of him at all ;-). But these pictures really capture his great smile and laugh!

  5. Very nice! Isn't it fun to do? (Have professional photos captured). I love the second to last one, especially because of the lighting ... sucker for lighting-the soft glow makes it a very sweet picture.

  7. I've got to agree with my sister--I love the very first and the very last ones! At my first glance of the pictures (on my i-pnone), I really liked the one everyone else liked, the second to last. The lighting effects and soft touches are real nice. But sitting down and looking at them on the big screen, I just love the first and last. In the first one, you both look at each other as though he/she is all that exists. And in the last one, Jeff looks tickled pink to have received this unexpected squeeze from a playful Sarah. :) (in the last picture, I also really the three blurry pieces of long grass. I know...strange, but I like it! lol)

Thanks so much for sending the link and sharing! And what a great photographer--how nice that she knew what she was doing!
