What's in a Name?

Our town building inspector's name is Chip. He's a wonderful, helping, accommodating guy. I love Chip.

My mosaic floor tiles just arrived. They have many, many chips. Every sheet, in fact. I'm not loving chips so much anymore.

  1. Oh no! Will it put the project behind waiting for new ones to arrive?

We are remodeling our powder room and we had it down to the weave or hex and ended up going with the hex. So I'm really excited to see how yours turns out.

Very cute post too, by the way. :)

  2. I think our timeline is okay. This box arrived early, but the other two cartons came the next day and were fine. So our tile guy will start with the walls, and hopefully by the time he gets to the last of the floor we'll have the replacement box.

I'd love to see your powder room when you're finished. Lowes carries a black and white pinwheel (some call it a spiral) that I considered, and the hex is very traditional, too. So many good options for vintage floors! The basket weave has a smaller, more frequent accent tile (the cobalt, in our case), so I felt it would work better for our small shower floor.

    1. Good, so it hasn't been too much of a set back so far.

Yes, I really wanted to bring back some traditional element to this place, so that's what we were going for too. I don't think I ever sent you a link to my blog, I'm sorry. It's www.littlevictorian.com. You can see of our lack of progress on all household projects there. :)
